The first thing you need to know about Obisdium is that it is meant to be used by developers and programmers. And to be more precise, it is meant for developers who want to market their software and need an efficient means of protecting it. You see, Obsidium is a software protection system that will help developers protect their software applications from cracking, piracy, and reverse engineering. It will also help them set up a licensing or registration system.

Obsidium is available for 32 and 64-bit systems. It is also available as a Lite version for 32-bit machines.
The feature matrix on this page presents the differences between the 32 and the 64-bit version.

Launch Obsidium and you will be presented with the Project Management panel. From it you can get started with a new project, load an existing project, or save the project you’re working on. Once you get started with a project, all the other panels from the left hand side will become accessible. Click through them to uncover all the features and functions Obsidium has to offer.

Speaking about what Obsidium has to offer, the functionality this application has to offer can be divided into two categories:
Protection – thanks to Obsidium you can protect your software from reverse engineering, unauthorized modifications (a.k.a. cracking), and unauthorized redistribution (a.k.a. piracy).
Marketing – you can set up a secure yet flexible licensing or registration system. This comes in handy if you want to offer time-limited or feature-limited trial versions of your software.

Speaking about that, Obsidium is offered as a feature-limited trial version. Use the trial and you will have to put up with the following limitations: cannot load projects, cannot save project files, code virtualization is disabled, watermarking function is disabled, command line version is disabled.

If you have a software application and you want to distribute it safely, you need Obsidium. This tool will help you create time or feature-limited trial versions and will protect your software from cracking, piracy, and reverse engineering.

Pros

Obsidium is available for 32 and 64-bit machines; there’s a Full and a Lite 32-bit version. The interface makes it very easy to navigate all the features and functions Obsidium has to offer. Obsidium will help you protect and safely market your software.

Cons

The trial comes with multiple limitations.
